What to Wear With A White Blazer In 2024

This post shows you ways to style a white blazer.

I recently revisited an old video I made, creatively titled “White Blazer Outfits for Spring and Summer” 😂.

It was posted three years ago and still gets lots of views today, but I wanted to see if the outfits I put together back then would still be styles I’d wear today.

Most of the combinations were a top with jeans: an animal print top, a coloured top, and a floral top. Animal print is on-trend right now, coloured tops are always in style, and we all know the Miranda Priestly quote about florals in spring, so all of those could be worn today. But one combination was a white blazer with a gingham top. In the video, I mentioned that gingham is a print that’s either on-trend or not, and I still believe that. Some may disagree and say it’s a solid classic that never goes out of style. So, is gingham still in style right now?

One way to gauge whether something is on-trend or not is by checking what’s available in stores at the time. If there’s plenty of choice and variation, it’s in style. However, if you have to search high and low for a specific item, it’s probably not popular or on-trend at that moment. If it’s a true classic, you’ll be able to buy it year-round, rain or shine, with plenty of choices available. Like a Breton stripe top or a white button-down shirt, you’ll find them in most stores because retailers know there’s always demand.

So, I went on the search for a gingham top. The selection was quite limited, to be fair, but even so, there were more options than I expected, and in different styles too.

They’re pretty tops but they may not work well under a white blazer because they won’t necessarily sit comfortably underneath it so these styles may work better with it.

5.Green Shirt 6. Poplin Sleeve Shirt

Aside from the print, the most notable thing that would need to be updated for this combination to work today would be the style of trousers or jeans worn with the outfit. Most of the outfits featured in the video were skinny jeans, but a wider-leg jean or a pair of loose-fitting wide-leg trousers would make the combination look more ‘2024.’

So overall, the basics of the outfits shown in the video can still work today, so it’s still worth a watch if you’re looking for ways to wear your white blazer.
